E: Can you introduce yourself; speak about your studies and your background?
Me: Yes of course. My name is Hippolyte AUDUREAU and I’m nearly nineteen. Today I’m doing a second-year-post-A-level-degree to be a laboratory technician. I have done only one work placement in a research laboratory.
E: Where are you studying at the moment?
Me: I’m a student at Jean Moulin High school in Angers.
E: How did you find your work placement?
Me: I found it thanks to a list of potential employers our teachers gave us.
E: How long did it last?
Me: It lasted 6 weeks.
E: What activities did you do during your work placement?
Me: I worked on the sequencing of DNA.
E: Was there a good atmosphere at work? Were your colleagues nice?
Me: There was a great atmosphere but at the same time my colleagues were very helpful when I needed some help.
E: What do you plan to do after you graduate?
Me: After graduating, I would like to do a professional degree at the University of Angers if it’s possible; then work in a laboratory at the beginning. .
E: What do you mean by “at the beginning”?
Me: Oh I would like to be an engineer or a researcher.
E: In which sector?
Me: Human biology interests me a lot!
E: Do you think you are made for this job? Why?
Me: Yes I think, I’m interested by manual work and manipulation; furthermore my curiosity is an advantage. I think I'm made for this job!
E: Do you think you could go and work abroad?
Me: Yes I think it would be a great experience to discover other things : to get to know a new culture, a new way of life, a new way of working.
