M : Yes, sure. My name is Julie. I'm eighteen years old. I live in Angers just during the week, I return home to my family at the weekend in Brittany. At the moment, I'm doing my second-year post-A-level diploma.
E : Ok, and where are you studying ?
M : I'm studying at Jean Moulin High School.
E : Can you tell me about your background ?
M : I've been studying microbiology, biology, chemistry and biochemistry for four years, because I did scientific baccalaureate specializing in laboratory studies.
E : How did you find you work placement ?
M : I found my placement in a Microbiology research laboratory.
E : How long did it last ?
Me : In my first year the placement lasted six weeks and in second year it lasted eight weeks.
E : What activities did you do during your work placement ?
Me : During my work placement, I worked on a resistant strain of E.coli.
E : What do you plan to do after you obtain your Higher National Certificate ?
Me : After graduating, I will continue on with my studies and do a professional degree or go to an engineering school.
E : In which field ?
Me : I want to pursue my studies in the field of microbiology.
